Code of Ethics
Preamble
KAON BROADBAND recognizes that ethical management is essential for companies in this day and age, and that through ethical management, a company can both enhance its image and maximize profits. Accordingly, in order to establish a fair trade order and a transparent and clean corporate culture that fulfills its social responsibility, we enact a code of ethics that will provide the standards for proper judgment and principles of behavior that all employees must observe, as well as a rule of ethics, to exercise assertively.

Part 1
Customer
1. Creating value for customers
We will respect the opinions of customers based on an attitude of loyalty and diligence, and make our customers the top priority in all judgments and actions.
We will provide high quality products and services in a timely manner through innovation and creativity, and do our best to ensure customer satisfaction through technological development and improvements in quality.
2. Customer protection
We shall not share information related to customers or use it for other purposes without the prior consent of customers, and shall protect the property and reputation of our customers.
Information that customers should know or that should be shared with customers shall be provided transparently so that customers can make informed decisions.

Part 2
Respect for Shareholders
1. Protection of interests
We shall do our best to protect the interests of shareholders and investors through continuous growth and development.
2. Guarantee of rights
We shall respect the right to know, fair requests and suggestions of shareholders and actively reflect them in management.
Information needed by shareholders and investors shall be provided with due diligence according to the relevant laws and regulations, and typical practices of the industry.

Part 3
Protection of Rights
and Interests of Employees1. Respect for employees
We shall support and respect human rights, which have been internationally proclaimed in our workplaces both in Korea and abroad, and strive to promote diversity.
We shall guarantee the basic livelihood of employees and always strive to improve quality of life for employees and their families.
We shall guarantee the physical, mental and social well-being of employees to the greatest extent possible, and strive to provide a working environment that fits the physiological and psychological capacities of employees.
We shall do our best to protect reporters and whistleblowers of unethical or illegal behavior, and protect confidentiality.
2. Prohibition of discrimination
The company shall not discriminate against employees based on gender, name of university attended, religion, race, skin color, marital status, language, nationality, social position, disabilities or wealth in all employment practices, including hiring, promotion, wages, and training opportunities. Employees shall be given fair opportunities based on their capacities and achievements, and shall be evaluated based on fair standards for fair compensation.
3. Fostering of human resources
We shall provide opportunities for education, technical development, training and promotions to employees, and expand their personal capacities and work skills, while striving to allow them to live a healthy life. Furthermore, work shall be given after taking into consideration the aptitudes and abilities of employees, and employees shall be the given the opportunity to grow through continuous education.

Part 4
Basic Ethics of Employees
1. Righteous execution of duties
We shall take pride as members of the organization and strive to realize the core values of the company, while working to maintain individual dignity and the honor of the company based on a high set of ethical values.
We shall be aware of the related laws, code of ethics, and company regulations in order to fulfill our duties according to legal and ethical methods. If this requirement is violated, we shall be subject to strict reprimand and shall have the duty to immediately report unethical situations when witnessing such according to the prescribed procedures.
Employees must not suggest or provide gifts, money or entertainment to public officials or agents of business partners in relation to the operations of the company. In the event that it is necessary for work and the gift, money or entertainment is inexpensive, and if it is recognized according to social norms, this requirement shall not apply.
Employees may not receive excessive entertainment, gifts or money from relevant persons such as business partners. However, when inevitably necessary, it must be immediately reported to the company.
Employees must avoid all business behavior that may conflict with the interests of the company or him or herself when carrying out duties. When such a conflict of interests occurs, it must be reported to the company immediately.
2. Mutual ethics among employees
Employees shall strive to create a comfortable workplace filled with understanding and cooperation based on basic etiquette.
Creating cliques or discriminating against others based on name of university attended, gender, religion, kinship and place of birth is prohibited.
Employees must mutually help and supervise each other to observe relevant laws and regulations, and ethical regulations.
Unfair solicitations, recommendation, monetary transactions and personal receipt of money by employees are prohibited.
Employees shall strive to carry out the instructions related to work that have been given by their superior. However, if the instructions are clearly unfair or illegal, employees must refuse, and if the instructions are not corrected, the superior must be reported according to internal reporting procedures.
Employees shall attend sexual harassment prevention education at work and avoid engaging in any behavior that may be construed as sexual harassment.
3. Protection of company property and confidentiality
Employees must use the working hours and company property according to the work objectives, and may not company property for personal use.
Employees must not use confidential information acquired while working at the company for personal profit or the profit of others.
Information on the sales/finances/HR or technologies of the company that have not been revealed to the public, as well as plans, must be kept secret and confidential. They may not be exposed or disclosed to third parties without the prior consent or authorization of the company. Confidentiality must be maintained permanently, even after leaving the company, and all tangible and intangible properties of the company including its intellectual property rights must be actively protected according to security management regulations.
4. Safety and danger prevention
Employees have the responsibility and duty to protect the safety of the company and shall thoroughly observe regulations regarding safety and workplace safety rules to prevent accidents while working.
In the event of emergencies such as disasters or fires, the emergency must be immediately reported and all measures should be taken to eliminate the threat.

Fair Competition and Transaction
1. Pursuing free competition
The market economy’s order must be respected based on responsibility and transparency in order to actively promote fair trade practices.
The company shall enhance the fairness and reliability of business, such as by preventing corruption and promoting fair competition in order to contribute to the development of a corruption-free and fair society.
2. Compliance with laws and regulations
All business and sales activities conducted around the world must thoroughly comply with the laws and regulations of the respective country and region, while respecting the customary practices of business.
A fair trade voluntary compliance program shall be operated so that all employees can continuously strive to fairly observe laws and regulations.
3. Win-win relationship with vendors and partners
Equal participation opportunity
All eligible vendors and partners shall be given equal participation opportunities.Fair Trade
All transactions shall be conducted transparently and fairly based on win-win cooperation, and sufficient discussions shall be held for business conditions and procedures.Transactions with businesses or individuals (hereinafter called clients) that are currently being made or that may potentially be made must be carried out fairly as follows.
① When purchasing goods or services from clients, fair opportunities shall be given, and through this, the utmost efforts shall be made to cut costs and improve quality.
② Discriminatory treatment such as price differentiation among clients without justifiable reasons is prohibited.
③ In bidding, the information of competing companies must not be provided to other companies.
④ In doing business with companies with personal interests, unjust influence must not be exercised.Pursuing mutual development
Full support shall be given through technical support and management cooperation so that vendors and partners can grow in the long term with competitiveness. -
Part 6
Responsibilities to
the Nation and Society1. Responsibilities to the nation
Create jobs and provide high quality products and services, and fulfill our role as a taxpayer.
2. Contribution to social development
Guarantee and promote participation in healthy social activities to employees, and contribute to the social economic development by improving the social environment.
Strive to build mutual trust with stakeholders and diligently fulfill social responsibility as a corporate citizen.
3. Prohibition on involvement in political activities
The company shall not be involved in politics and shall not provide illegal funds or expenses, whether directly or indirectly, to a candidate party running for office or political member. However, the company may express its position on the legislation of policies or enactment of laws related to the interest of the company.
Employees must take care to ensure that their personal views are not construed as the views of the company, and no political activities are allowed within the company.
4. Environment-friendly management
Domestic and foreign laws and regulations, as well as international conventions related to the environment, shall be observed, and utmost efforts shall be made to preserve the environment.
Efforts shall be made to prevent all contamination that can have negative effects on public health and well-being, and environmental performance shall be improved.
Energy efficiency, water resource protection, and improved efficiency in the use of raw materials shall be pursued for the sustainable use of resources.
All responsibilities to alleviate ecological changes and climate changes due to greenhouse gas emissions shall be fulfilled.
5. Protection of copyrights
It is illegal to copy software without authorization or violate software licenses. Employees shall recognize that this is in violation of the standard work and corporate customs of KAONMEDIA and shall not engage in such reproduction or violation of contracts, while taking the responsibility to prevent such from occurring.
Regardless of the situation, unauthorized software shall not be copied.
Necessary software shall be distributed through legal acquisition and distribution procedures.
All license contracts and conditions must be observed when using acquired software.
Strong regulation and control devices must be provided to prevent the infringement of software copyrights, and appropriate penalties shall be put into place.
